there is healing in his presence, just be responsive

Mark 11:13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. While reflecting on the verse, I wondered why Jesus would curse the fig tree for not bearing fruit, especially considering that it was out of season, and this is the revelation I got The fig tree's barrenness can be seen as a powerful symbol of spiritual failure—representing unbelief, superficial religiosity, or stubbornness to genuine repentance. As the Creator of all, Jesus’ presence inherently possesses transformative power; His mere presence should evoke growth and productivity. Although it was not the season for figs, the expectation of fruitfulness stems from His divine authority. The absence of fruit in this context underscores a deeper spiritual message: that true faith and receptivity should flourish when in Christ's presence, regardless of the season. The fig tree's barrenness, therefore, highlights the importance of authentic spiritual fruitfulness and the consequences of neglecting one's spiritual responsibilities—an urgent call to genuine faith rather than superficial appearances. When our faith aligns with Christ’s presence, it opens the door for divine transformation, revival, spiritual fruitfulness, healing and restoration regardless of the season.
